TCNS provides training program for child neurologist. From 1987 the board of child neurology specialty certification exam system was established and been administered to recognize qualified child neurologists. We also provides activities for education and training of child neurologist and child development specialist. The certification for child development specialist started since 2020.

Training

The board of child neurology specialty certification examination are held annually. The child neurology certificate requires 2-year fellowship training in child neurology at child neurology centers certificated by TCNS. The training program includes outpatient and inpatient care, neurocritical care, child development, electrophysiological examination, ultrasound examination, neuroradiology, neuropathology as well as interdisciplinary care in neurosurgery, child psychiatry and child rehabilitation.

Educational Lectures and Conferences

Educational lectures were given by experienced child neurologists for fellows and young child neurologist annually. The topics of educational lectures includes current diagnosis and treatment for neurologic and developmental disorders in children as well as updates in basic neuroscience. Case conferences were held monthly in northern, middle, and southern of Taiwan, sharing distinct or educational child neurology cases.

Training and Education for Child Development Specialist

TCNS has been involved in child development since it was founded. Organized series of special lectures in the field of child development each year. Start from 2020, TCNS set-up the child development membership and started the board certification of child development specialist.

The TCNS Newsletter

The TCNS newsletter has been issued every four months. It served as a media for announcement of policies of TCNS and also communication between members. Each issue also include case reports of educational or academic interest.
